ROCKPORT — The Camden Conference will present a screening of the short film “Like” at the Rockport Opera House, 6 Central St., Saturday, Oct. 19 at 2 p.m. The film reveals the effects of technology on the brain and uncovers the impact social media can have on our lives. Film presenter Catherine Steiner-Adair will hold a question-and-answer session after the film. This event is free and open to all; donations are accepted.

Steiner-Adair is a clinical psychologist, school consultant and author of the award-winning book, “The Big Disconnect: Protecting Childhood and Family Relationships in the Digital Age.” She has a private practice in Cambridge, Mass. She is a research associate in the Department of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, an associate psychologist at McLean Hospital, and is the scholar in residence at the Gardner Carney Leadership Institute.
